I was going through the
hustling streets of Mumbai and I saw a bookseller. I wanted to buy a book. A
book to keep myself busy and a reference to self-learning. And there, In a huge
heap of books it was almost difficult to choose one book and it was quite
confusing so I decided to go as per the bookseller's choice. Sometimes it is
recommended to go for other's choice when you don't know what you should choose.
Finally I was happy as I had something in my hand to kill my weekend time.
While I shopped I always
wondered if the bookseller actually knew about the book. They always sell
their books with a hell lot of confidence without even knowing except the name
and the author of the books. They have this confidence to sell their product
like they have gone through each and every paragraph of their books. No doubt
they know about which books are selling like hot cakes but they know a lot of
marketing.
A bookseller has hundreds of
books in his collection. He would have hardly read any of his own book still he
can guide his customers. It reminds me and confirmed me that:
Presenting yourself keeps more importance than
what you know. An engineering student
knows it well, right from his first semester exams; as passing exams is not
much of a serious case of studies but more of how you wrote in exams. It's all about 'Jugad'.
